Land Disturbance Permit
May 18th, 2010
We got our Land Disturbance Permit. Our application was especially complex because we have a well, geothermal HVAC, and a fancy-schmancy sand-filter septic field. It took a surprisingly long time, and everyone on the project is heaving a great sigh of relief.
Here is the photo that Russ, the civil engineer sent me from the Fulton County offices today.
The last step was to bet on a tree. There is a large and beautiful white oak that is very close to where we will be building the classroom and dining hall. We promised to save it, so Fulton County demanded a bond. If the tree dies in the next three years, I’ll lose $10,000.
Great news. Congrats, Aaron.
Glad we got a a chance to see/talk/catch up a little bit in Seattle a couple of weeks back…
Disturb away!
Congratulations Aaron! Huge milestone!
I bet $1,000 you kill the tree. That way if you do, you’re only down $9,000. That’s me helpin’ out!
I’m so glad to hear!
